Rachel Lloyd joined the Office of the Architect as a Senior Landscape Architect in 2021. Rachel will support the work of the Arboretum and Landscape Committee, the Master Planning Council, and the University’s Historic Preservation team. Prior to her arrival at UVA, Rachel served for twenty five years as a Senior Historical Landscape Architect on significant cultural sites throughout the United States and abroad. She earned a Masters of Landscape Architecture from the University of Virginia and a Bachelors of Arts in American History from the University of Pennsylvania. She is a licensed landscape architect in the Commonwealth of Virginia and maintains the Secretary of the Interior’s professional qualifications for Historian and Historical Landscape Architect. Rachel is also a LEED accredited professional.
