School of Data Science Building Opens at the Emmet-Ivy Corridor

The School of Data Science Building was officially opened on Friday, April 26th with a ceremony that included the Dean of the School, Phil Bourne and the governor of Virginia, Glenn Youngkin. The new building is located at the entrance to the Emmet-Ivy Corridor that will also be home to the Virginia Guesthouse hotel and the Karsh Institute of Democracy. The building was designed by Hopkins Architects and VMDO beginning in 2020. Construction began in 2021, led by Gilbane Building Company.
