Tom serves as the liaison between the Office of the Architect and the University of Virginia Foundation, ensuring close coordination in the planning and development of their respective properties. He received a B.A. in Philosophy from Haverford College and a Master of Architecture degree from Harvard University, and is licensed as an architect in Virginia. Before coming to UVA, Tom served as campus planner and architect at the University of California Santa Cruz, Washington and Lee University, and James Madison University. He previously worked as a design architect in San Francisco and Boston.
